Last day, packed up camp and headed home. Brekky was a combination of bacon (and/or Delimondo corned beef) truffle cheeseburgers topped with truffle egg and lettuce.

Swung by west of Lone Pine to check out three more campgrounds for future reference, Lone Pine Campground and the rest of Mt. Whitney Portal. We took a shortcut through a very pretty rock outcropping, and were caught offguard in deep sand. In the resulting kerfuffle, JJ lost his wallet when we locked our hubs, which he realized later on when we were several miles out exploring Lone Pine Campground. So we retraced our steps past the hitch-hiker (wearing festival gear playing a purple ukelele), and miraculously found his wallet baking under the sun undisturbed. Just when we thought the weekend couldn't get more epic, we stumbled upon probably the prettiest established campgrounds this side of the planet. And so for sure, Arnold Schwarzenegger. We'll be back.
