Hello, Lovine.com | Photo | 2014 | 0802 Ancient Bristlecone
We've been trying to get to this spot since last year, but were blocked out by the snow late in the season the last time we were here.
This time we opted to take the drive up to avoid the heat of the summer (amongst other things), and spend some quiet time with just the 3 of us.
The bristlecone pines were a lot larger than I expected, especially the younger ones that reach up in gnarled knots to the sky. I could only imagine what they would look like under a pale moonlight, or in total darkness against the vast expanse of the milky way. We hardly even left, and I already knew that we'd come back again.
