The original plan was for Kat to fly in to Burbank from Oakland, where I would be waiting to pick her up for the weekend shenanigans.

Let's back track a bit.

Kat and I have been doing this LA-SF romancing for more than 6 years, and through the years racked up an impressive mile count spread between the three of us on Southwest Airlines.  Yes, the dog flies a lot too.  And I need to give credit to Southwest, for making this arrangement possible for the three of us. 

Three days ago, I saw all my stars align in a way that I have been waiting for, for the longest time.  I decided to hatch a (somewhat crazy) plan for Thursday night.

So, Kat thinks she's flying in to Burbank to see her boyfriend for the weekend.
